Base Enhancements
IDF bases on the front lines are temporary dwelling places. One unit moves out and another unit comes in. The caravans and tents are impersonal, even when they are crowded with the soldiers’ gear. There is little space to walk – overstuffed backpacks are on the floor; wet towels hang from wherever possible.
The soldiers come back from a routine patrol, and linger outside the caravans. There is nowhere to sit, no comfortable place to relax. In January, no place to get warm. And in July, no place to cool down.
Yashar LaChayal makes sure that our soldiers know that we care about them, and appreciate their sacrifices. We provide a place to relax and unwind, to take a break from the stress and responsibility of army service, by providing mobile basketball courts, ping pong tables, caravans with exercise equipment, seating areas, heating and air conditioning units – even frozen drink machines to units serving in the hot desert.
Our soldiers need to know that we care about them and appreciate their sacrifices. They deserve recreation and an opportunity to unwind.

Comfort Zones
Comfort zones provide soldiers with a place to relax. Yashar LaChayal builds rec rooms and shady pergolas for soldiers to lounge in.

Kitchenette
Many soldiers are on missions during normal meal hours and when they get back to base they can be hungry. A kitchenette provides soldiers with a place to grab a bite to eat at times when the base cafeteria would be closed.

Fitness Zones
Not only is exercise great for keeping our soldiers in great shape, but its an excellent way for them to destress. Yashar LaChayal provides IDF bases with exercise stands and helps them with creating basketball courts.

Show IDF soldiers you care by helping us provide them with a place to unwind. Donate to the Base Enhancements Project today.
