Support The Warm Corner Project

A Warm Corner is a small structure, usually at the entrance to a community, that soldiers can stop at while patrolling in the area. Many of our Warm Corners are in dangerous areas where tensions often run high, meaning that there is a large presence of soldiers at all times. During their routine patrols, the soldiers stop to rest at our air-conditioned Warm Corners which are stocked with coffee, drinks, and snacks for the soldiers to enjoy – for free. Whether it is soup and a hot drink in the cold winter, or soda and ice cream in the summer, soldiers in the area know that they can always stop by for a well-deserved break!

Yashar LaChayal currently has 17 Warm Corners with 4 more on the way!

In addition to constructing the Warm Corners, we provide a monthly budget so that volunteers in the community can make sure that the Warm Corner is always full of treats.

Why support a Warm Corner?

• To support the brave young men and women defending Jewish communities in dangerous areas: Soldiers patrol these areas 24/7. After visiting a Warm Corner on their patrol route, they can return to their patrol rested and refreshed while knowing that someone cares for them.

•Increase security and deterrence: A Warm Corner will draw soldiers to the community and increase patrols, giving residents a greater feeling of security and deterrence for any potential attackers.

• Provide a connection between the soldiers and the communities that they are protecting: Holiday events and general acts of appreciation are carried out by the communities for the soldiers in the region, providing the soldiers with a sense of purpose and the community members with a way to show their love and gratitude.
