Jacob’s Bar Mitzvah Project

Hello!

My name is Jacob.

This year, I will be celebrating my Bar Mitzvah on our upcoming trip to Israel as well as in November.

In honor of my upcoming Bar Mitzvah, I am organizing a fundraiser to help the soldiers of the Israel Defense Force (IDF). With the funds I collect, I will be donating basketball hoops to the soldiers at an army base that we will be visiting in August in the Golan Heights. The soldiers have such long and stressful days, that my goal is to help them relax and have fun when they can. (I bet they love shooting hoops as much as I do). When my family visits the army base, I will be presenting the soldiers with this equipment.

Since the state of Israel was created in 1948, way before I was born, there has been a need for soldiers to fight for our freedom. Without Israel, Jews around the world would not have a homeland. The soldiers need our help and to see that we support them with all our hearts.

In the fall, I will be organizing a basketball tournament in Great Neck, Long Island, to raise additional funds, but for now, if you can, please donate!
