The “Mitchabrim” Initiative

Mitchabrim (“Connecting”) was born from a simple idea:

The people protecting Israel also need a place where they can pause, breathe, and reconnect with the people they love.

At Shorashai HaGalil in Kfar Yuval, on Israel’s northern border, we host soldiers, reservists, and their families for meaningful time together away from the pressures of military service and daily uncertainty.

What began as a small local initiative has grown into a community effort. Businesses, volunteers, donors, and friends from across Israel and around the world come together to make these gatherings possible.

Every visit, every meal, every activity, and every moment of connection is made possible through donations.

Each contribution helps another soldier, another reservist, or another family spend precious time together, regain strength, and return to their daily reality carrying a little more support, connection, and hope.

We moved to Kfar Yuval with deep appreciation for the people protecting Israel’s northern border.

Mitchabrim is our way of giving something back. One family, one gathering, and one moment of connection at a time.

This initiative that helps soldiers serving on Israel’s northern border connect with their loved ones together.
