Yesterday was the grand opening of our newest warm corner in Ma’ale Adumim. This Warm Corner was donated by Lisa Silver. conveniently located by the entrance to the city. A major stopping point for IDF soldiers, the Warm Corner is one of our largest yet.
New Speakers for Golani
Here is a short video of soldiers from the Golani Brigade, thanking Yashar LaChayal for donating brand new speakers for the Golani Training base. They are very excited to put them to good use, both on the field and for entertainment.
We built this kitchenette for the soldiers serving in Chatmar Shomron
We built this kitchenette for the soldiers serving in Chatmar Shomron so they can make a quick meal and grab a cup of coffee whenever they need it.
Many soldiers carry out their duties over long shifts and they don’t always have a break or finish their shift during the standard scheduled meal times of the rest of the base. This kitchenette will provide a solution for any hungry soldiers during the odd hours of the day or night when the cafeteria might be closed.
Basketball Hoops for Heroes
Back in December of 2019, Yashar LaChayal hosted the Hoops for Heroes Yeshiva Middle School Basketball Tournament. This tournament consisted of 13 different schools from the New York-New Jersey region with over 200 players, each raising money for different units in the Israel Defense Forces.
Together, these middle-school kids raised over $40,000 to purchase portable basketball hoops for soldiers in units all over the army, giving our brave Chayalim an opportunity to blow off steam and keep in shape while they’re on base.
The first round of basketball hoops has arrived, and the units are coming to pick them up!
